For the first year of my detailing career, I did things the way everyone else did. I used the strongest chemicals to get the fastest results, chased that artificial "new car smell," and thought a glossy, greasy dashboard was the sign of a job well done.

Then, one day, everything changed.

I was detailing a client's minivan—the kind with crushed Goldfish in the seats and sticky handprints on the windows. I grabbed my heavy-duty interior cleaner and went to work. Within minutes, the car was filled with a harsh, chemical fog. My head started pounding, and I felt a wave of dizziness. I had to step outside for fresh air, and I thought, "If I feel this way after just a few minutes, what is this doing to the family that breathes this air every single day?"

I realized the detailing industry had a dirty secret: the products that made cars look clean were often packed with toxic chemicals, allergens, and carcinogens. That "new car smell"? It's often a cocktail of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that can cause headaches, nausea, and long-term health problems.

I couldn't, in good conscience, continue to expose my clients—especially kids and pets—to those risks. So, I threw out my old products and started over from scratch.

I dove headfirst into the science of car care, spending hundreds of hours researching ingredient safety, product efficacy, and the chemistry of cleaning. I learned to read Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) like they were novels. After three years of professional experience and relentless research, Ale's Mobile Detailing was reborn with a new mission: to provide a superior detail that's not only safe for your vehicle, but safe for your family.
